California testing F3 cars Oct 26, 27, and 28th. This was my second time venturing down south to test Jim Russell’s F3 cars. I learned so much this trip, about how to maximize each and every lap that you drive, and the mindset that is involved in achieving this. The focus that is required to control, manipulate, and push the car to its limits is staggering; you leave the track mentally and physically drained. After three days at the track I still did not want to leave!

Hey Everyone,

Just an update on my plans for racing in the fall. I'll be heading back to San Fransisco Oct 26-28 to test the F3 cars at Infineon Raceway. These three days of testing will be a good opportunity for me to push the car to its limits.
I would like to thank again the Saskatoon business community for all of the support they have shown me.

Hey,

I was in the beautiful Mont Tremblant area July 29, 30 for two days of Skip Barber F2000 testing. This region of Quebec was amazing. The village we were staying in was on the slopes of a mountain, overlooking a lake.

The first day of testing looked to be promising. Only until the skies opened up and it started to rain. It was quite the challenge trying to learn a new track and car in the rain! I’ll admit I left much to be desired that day…

On the second day the weather was much nicer +24 and sunny. I was eager to prove my worth after the let down of my rain performance. I went out and did exactly that, improving my times every session of the day even when the track got greasy and others slowed.

There is still a lot to perfect with my driving, but for basically my first day in the f2000 car I was running competitive times compared to  a guy who has had 20 days in the f2000 car.

I am looking to do a race weekend at LimeRock October 7-10 it would consist of 2 days of testing and 2 days of racing. I know that with this seat time at LimeRock I would be heading into the Skip Barber Shoot Out with a solid chance of winning.

Thanks for reading; I’ll post up another blog as soon as we confirm the LimeRock weekend.

Hey,
just got back from the track near Regina. I was there driving for K&M Motorsports in the Rok Sr. class. We tested all day Saturday and raced on Sunday. This event was hosting rounds 3,4 of the Western Canadian Rok Pro series.
I qualified on Pole position for the racing. On the first race i dropped to third off the start but managed to claw my way back to second, and nearly took back #1. On the final race of the day i started second and right off the get go i was pounded off the track. I couldn't get my way back up due to a flat right rear tire.

July 27 I m flying out to Monte Tremblant for several days of F2000 Skip Barber testing. I m looking forward to getting back in a racecar, and it should be another great learning experience. The track itself used to be on the Formula 1 circuit, so it will definitly be challenging.

Thats all for now thanks for reading,

I'am heading to Regina this weekend for a one off racing weekend with K an M Motorsports. I drove for K and M last season in the Rok Cup Jr. series. Finishing fourth in the series with 3 podium finishes. The Rok Cup series pays a ride to the  nationals in Italy this year. It will be nice to get back in the seat of a kart again.

I have also had some other great opportunities come my way lately. I m working on a potential F3 ride at the INDY weekend in mid-august at Sonoma California. I will keep you up to date on how this unfolds.

I will be heading to Monte Tremblant July 27-31 for two days of F2000 testing. The track that i will be driving on is a prestigous Formula 1 circuit. I will be testing on the Wednesday and Thursday which will leave me some time to explore the beautiful country side.

F2000 car is a 150HP 1250lbs car that is capable of reaching up to 110 mph. This is the car that i will hopefully be driving full time next summer, in the Skip Barber National Series.

Thats all for now, if you have any questions just leave a comment and i will respond as soon as i can!

I will be participating in a legend car evening test session Friday June 12, 2009. The Legends car is a 1300 pound 1930's coupe styled car that is powered by a yamaha 1250cc engine putting out roughly 120 Hp. My test session will be held at the Auto Clearing Motor Speedway in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. I hope this testing will help diversify my racing experience.
That is all for now!

Hi all,
Just got back from sunny San Francisco was there doing a couple days of Formula testing. Infineon raceway is a great track and Jim Russell’s cars are amazing. The car had 270hp, full aero package, and it weighed around 1060 pounds.
My testing went extremely well, with me surpassing everyone’s expectations. It was a great experience and I learned a lot of valuable data. Special thanks to Sean and the crew at Jim Russell for showing us Canadian boys a good time.

I have uploaded some pictures of the great Californian climate AKA the race track! I am also planning on doing some future testing.

Thanks for your interest,

Logan
