First Race Back
I raced my first race in over 7 months today. Things went really well, and I`m proud of how I did.
I rode both 125 A and the Open Money classes. In the first 125 A moto I got second of the start and quickly passed into the lead and checked out. Unfortunately, I got into a first turn pile up in the second moto and came back to 2nd getting 2nd over all.
The Open Money class turned out to be a great learning experience for me due to the fact that there was a $1,700 purse. All of Florida`s top A and Pro riders showed up to race. In the first moto I got a top 10 start and worked my way up to 5th and was keeping up with the top riders, but then the arm pump set in and had to pace myself for the rest of the 10 lap moto finishing 8th. In the second moto I got a horrible start and worked up to 5th yet again and was passing into 4th when i tipped over in a corner and couldn`t get the bike started for 2 laps leaving me to finish 10th. This gave me 9th overall.
