With a 2nd place finish at Crystal Falls, MI this past weekend I have secured the District 16 Championship!
I have come close a couple of times to winning it, but finally pulled it off.
I crashed hard in practice, hurting my ribs and shoulder. I was not going to be denied my chance again!
I sucked up the pain and rode smart knowing that I didn't have to win the overall in the 85cc 12-15 class to take the title. I let the leader go and finished with a second place overall on the day.
I did win the overall in the Supermini class though.
My run for the district title saw me never place lower than 3rd throughout the entire season. I would say that I had an awesome season!
A huge thank you goes out to all my sponsors and my mom and dad for making sure I had everything that I needed to keep myself on the top.
Thanks again to everyone and I'll see ya at the races!

Well...its been 4 long weeks, but I'm back riding again.
In case anyone didn't know I cut my hand really bad on a Tape Measure and had a ton of stitches in it.
I was so bummed by the fact of taking myself out of racing by doing something so dumb. I just need to think more about what I'm doing when I'm off the bike.
Anyway! I raced at Arkansaw Cycle Park and finished 2nd in the 85cc 12-15 & 2nd in Supermini.
It was pouring rain and muddy as it could be. I am not the best mud rider to begin with, but did my best in it to stay up. With my hand still pretty sore, I couldn't grip as hard as I would have liked so I just played it safe. I only fell one time and lost the 85cc 12-15 race because of it. Oh well, thats racing!
It was fun to be back, and I am going to work my butt off to get back into riding shape for the rest of the season!
See ya at the races!

I can't belive it myself, but it's true. I made the Racer X Illustrated Sponsorship Connection Amateur of the week!!
How cool is that? I am very honored and also very humbled to be selected for this award.
It is like a dream come true. I have been working really hard this year and hope to continue with the way I'm riding.
I have had an awesome summer so far and hope to build on my skills as I prepare for the winter indoor events. Next season will have us traveling more and racing at some select national events, as well as trying for Loretta Lynn's again.
My entire family works very hard to help me obtain my goals and I am entirely greatful to them for their dedication. It takes all of us to make it to the level that I am at now and it will be even harder to move up. We are ready for the task and will continue to push for our goals.
I want to personally thank everyone that has helped me (us) out this summer. From guy's letting me practice on tracks that I have never been on before, to my favorite parts guy at our local dealership. It has been a awesome ride so far! Thanks guys
I have to take a couple of weeks off due to a dumb mistake I made on our Trampolene, but will be ready to rock soon!
Hope to see ya at the races!

For the second time in a little over a month, Cody takes home another #1 Overall win at Aztalan Cycle Park in Lake Mills, WI.
Getting the holeshot in both 85cc 12-15 motos and never looking back was a nice way to forget about the previous week at Millville, MN which he rode while he was really sick.
Nice recovery....see ya at the races!

Wow!
I almost don't have any words for my first month of racing this year. I have won two events, placed second twice and took home a third place to cap the best start of my life!
I am going to sit back and look at my new trophy's for about one day and then get back to work. Millville is next weekend and I know it will be a lot tougher than what I have been racing. I believe that I am more prepared than ever before and hope that all my hard work this past winter will start paying off for me at the bigger races.
See ya at the races!

First race of the year and I got the holeshot in both motos of the 85cc 12-15 Class and ran away with the Overall for the day.
It was 35* and windy, but with the help of my mom and dad I was able to combat the cold temps and take home a runaway victory at Aztalan Cycle Park in Lake Mills, WI.
I was riding with some banged up ribs, but managed to keep moving forward and put in a complete ride.
Dad had the bike jetted perfectly for the cold and it worked really good for me.
Now if it would just warm up a bit. haha
See ya at the races!

Spring is finally here!
Hope that everyone had a good winter. Ours started out awesome and then fell apart in December. Someone possibly put metal shavings in our gas tank at a indoor race and it ruined all our work to that point. Needless to say it took us out of racing and riding for a while. Bummer:( not a good deal.
Enter March...Brand new '07 Honda CR85 and a renewed energy to get back up to speed and beyound were I was in Dec. So far we have travelled to WIR (indoor track) in Waterman, IL, Mount Carroll, IL (awesome track!) and Gravity Park in Chilton, WI (nice practice track, but to much like riding on marbles, yuck).
Anyway today we are off to ride a friends practice track. It is finally thawed out enough here in central WI for some great practice.
Aztalan on April 8th is coming up really fast and I am really excited to get there and race that track again. The last time I was there, I won both motos in the 85cc 12-15 class. it was my first win ever at that track and I was and am pumped to have another go at it!
Good luck to all and stay healthy!

Cody ended the year with a pair of top ten overalls at Millville, MN
With a never quit attitude after getting injured in June, Cody fought his was back up the leader board at the Spring Creek Super Series events. He managed to finish 7th overall in the 85cc 9-12 Class and 9th Overall in the 85cc 12-15 Class. District 16 had Cody finishing up in 14th Place Overall, after only racing 6 events.
He managed 6 Overall wins for the year. Not bad for his first year in the 85cc 12-15 class!

Cody took the holeshots in both motos of the 85cc Open class at CMJ Raceway in Hixton, WI and ran away from the rest of the riders enroute to his sixth event win for the season! He also finished a strong third place in the very tough 85cc 12-15 class. Great job, Cody!
