Q&A - Competition

How did you get started?

I began racing in the 1970's in the famous Yamaha Gold Cup Series. I also did ABA racing in the early 1980's where I eventually earned the classification of 15 Expert. My racing career ended in High School when I decided to concentrate on football and wrestling. Twenty years later, I started racing again with my 2 sons.

Bio

I am the father of 3 great kids and I've been married for 17 years. I'm also the owner of a land surveying and engineering firm in the City of Corona, California. In addition to racing BMX and off-road, I also like to do an occasional triathlon. When I'm not competing as an athlete, I can be found coaching youth football and baseball.

Competitive Highlights

My competitive highlight as a BMX racer is being ranked no. 14 in the California State Championship Series.  I'm also proud of being the December, 2005 "909" series champion in the 36-40 cruiser class.

As an off-road racer, my competitive highlight is being ranked no. 23 in the 2004 National Hare & Hound standings and placing 5th overall at the Vikings Hare & Hound in Lucerne, California.  I am also proud of my fourth place finish in the ironman amateur class at the 2006 Best in the desert AVI 150.
