2006 UCI 4X World Cup mastered by Michal Prokop!
Domination of the Author factory rider Michal Prokop from the Czech Republic continues. With four wins and one fourth place from five races of the 2006 UCI 4X World Cup in the bag, Michal Prokop can be already crowned as the 2006 UCI 4X World Cup Champion, no matter what will happen at the series finals taking place in late September in austrian Schladming. After interruption of his amazing winning series with 4th place at the third round of the World Cup in Willingen, Germany, panamerican part of the World Cup tour has again the same scenario written by Mr. Holeshot - as called by many – as many other races before.
UCI 4X World Cup #4 in Mont Sainte Anne, Canada Michal´s favourite World Cup venue saw him in his best shape again. Fastest in qualification, first in every single heat. Big fight with Rinderknecht with traditional result… first in the final round. No else to say. Same story as one year ago;)
UCI 4X World Cup #5 in Balneario Camboriu, Brazil One week after the victory in Canada and then crazy long trip including broken plane and bus trip from airport to airport through whole Sau Paulo, our hero is finaly on hot east coast of Brazil, surprisingly with his Author bike and all bags.Michal knows that he´ll propably miss final race in Austria because of term collision with the UCI BMX Supercross, where the important points for olympic nomination are available to grab. Third place in qualification is good enough to choose the lane until the final. Michal shows why they call him Mr. Holeshot, goes to the lead and crosses the finish line first for the fourth time this season and second time in his career as the winner of overall World Cup standing!
