Skater Hater?
Today's Sentinel Article "Capitola vice mayor stands by skate remark" Here we go again. At the last meeting I said my name and that I'm a SKATEBOARDER. I wanted to speak for all the kids that were at the original skate park meeting Feb. 22, 2007 and I hoped the skate park would remain on the agenda. The Major said it is still on the radar.
Today I will be teaching 18 local skateboarders ages 8-13 years old how to slalom skateboard. It's hard to imagine a vice major of a beach community not liking them because the are skateboarders. Skateboarders can vote and choose where to spend their money.
