ThunderHill Repave Notes
This is a great improvement to the track aside from the crazy curbing. First day was frustrating as you could not help but see how badly they stick out. These blew my lines as my knee goes over these sections before the paving like 3, 9, & 10. I always went wide and ran off into the dirt up to 5 and got back on to make the turn.
1) Turn 2 is much smoother but there is a small bump is the middle section
2) Turn 5 has what feels like a broom paved into the track and yes...your front end goes up and it is not a fun experience. If you turn in later, you can avoid it but the pucker factor increases.
3) Forget soft tires for now, and increase your front tire pressure by 3-5psi. 2-3 psi rear. Almost everyone has tearing issues.
4) Turn 14 & 15 is a dream.
5) The hill at turn 3 has been reduced in size and you can see through the corner which is nice.
6) Turn 8 seems wider but the white line on the outside makes you feel as though you have blown the turn and are about to run off the track even though you have more than enough room.
