well my luck changed this week. i went out and qualified 2nd on a vary tacky track. im my heat and dash i spun trying just to hard. the track was so so tacky i was getting NO wheel spin so my RPMs when down so far i was going no where. so i was wide open around the whole track. so i spun 2 times.

i got 5th in the fast heat and 4th in the dash.

for the main i started dead last and had a great battle for 2nd with fellow racer shawn  we went side by side and bounced it off eachother at least 15 times. he ended up finishing 4th as i went on to finish 2nd.

Points are not yet out.

well i had a bad night of racing to say the least.

i came out for qualifying and the motor bogged down coming to the green, but still managed a 3rd place qualifying spot. in the dash i started 2nd and finished 3rd.

coming out for the heat race i started 4th and was in 1st coming out of turn 2 on lap 1. going into turn 3 on the first lap my hood flew up and destroyed my window. now it is cracked badly. my dad put the hood pins in backwards.

in the main i started 8th and was in 2nd place by lap 4. me and the leader had lapped everyone up to 3rd place when my oil pressure gauge fitting broke off and sprayed oil all over my manifold, it caught on fire, with 2 laps to go.

but since i had lapped so many people i still got 7th in the main.

and now im in 5th in points.

Last week we had the test N Tune, witched helped out a lot, we figured that the Right Rear tire was rubbing so we put on a smaller tire witch T&A motorsports Generously let us use.

So my First race of the 2009 season was this last Saturday, with a new paint job and a newly re-figured track we where set to race. the track conditions in the hot laps being wet and rough. i figured out a good line. we changed the tire pressures before the heat and it seemed to work, starting 4th i had only gained 1 position with 2 laps to go. going into turn 3 coming to the white flag i decided to let it all hang out and went to the top side making it 3 wide for the lead. coming out of the corner i had the lead with 1 lap to go, i never looked back as i took the heat win.

the main event  track conditions where dry-slick  and dry-slick. I started 3rd and thats where i would finish, with this being the first race of the year, there was w whole lot of rookies out there, which made it harder to race.It was the top 3 cars in line trying to maneuver around the lap traffic, with the 4th place car at least 1/2 lap behind. with a last cation, i had 1 last chance for the win, but with the track conditions being the was they where, if i made 1 mistake i would lose at least 2 - 3 positions.

 

The points have not came out yet, but I'm hoping to be in 2nd or 3rd.
