I had to add this photo. When I was in Tokyo, Japan in August of 06 these Pocari Sweat drinks helped me BIG TIME since one of my favorite drinks (Monster Energy) is very hard to get over there. I know some kart racers and a team in Japan, unfortunately the weather was bad and I was unable to hook up with them and run some laps -- that would have been the highlight of the trip! Well next to all the great food...Pocari Sweat is not like it sounds to most, the translation is just odd. Pocari is very close to the Japanese word “pokkari”, which means “clouds floating in the sky”. The logo is white letters on solid blue background, and the drink comes in summer when the sky is bright blue. (Great marketing huh!) Sweat refers to the fact that is usually drank in hot summer, or after sports (racing -- oh yea!), when you sweat. This would imply that you are drinking sweat -- obviously you don’t DRINK sweat, but rather you earned your drink WITH your sweat, you get the idea. Tasty stuff!
