Hey everybody!
Well I am back from Texas and had a great time!
At Whitney I qualified in the first motos for all my mains except one where my dad forgot to tighten the axel bolt and my back tire fell off. In that consi round I wadded up and didnt make the main. Oh well. Three out of four isnt bad. In each of my motos I took 18th which was the last transfer spot. In my 2nd moto's I did pretty good. I stayed on the bike and didnt come in last. I finished in the 30's. (see my results page for finishes).
We were off to Oak Hill. That track was a bit more challenging. Because there were only 30 some people in my classes it was a two moto format with no consi rounds. In all motos, stock, mod, and open I finished with about the same placement that I had in Whitney.
My trip was definitely an eye opener. It let me know what I need to work on.
Since I have been home I have been racing at every track that I can. Last weekend I raced at Elsinore, Starwest, and Perris. I have been working on my starts and have taken one hole shot and been taking the second spot if not holeshoting it. At Elsinore, because the competition was not that great, I asked if I could race the open with the 80's. They let me . I almost got the holeshot in both moto's. I ended up taking 3rd over all. That was pretty cool.
Right now my bike is totally clapped out. I am waiting for my mod to come back from the shop so I am just racing my practice bike and running it into the ground. Every race something falls off. Ive lost 2 silencers this week. Eventhough I am racing this POS I still keep it pinned everywhere I can.
I am heading out to Comp Edge this weekend for the Loretta qualifier. Im not holding my breath but I am pretty sure I can make the top 12 to advance to the 2nd qualifier. Taking top 4 in that is another story, however I have a couple months to work on it.
