Barona Oaks Mini National
Well this was my first big race after breaking my femur in April. I am really happy with how I finished. The competition was tough but I focused and rode really hard.
On my 65 I got an 8th in Open and a 10th in 9-11 age group. On my 85 I raced age group and Novice. The Novice class was tough and really stacked. They split class in two divisions and without a final they scored it really screwy so in my first moto I placed 13th and my second moto 18th and somehow it gave me a 20th. I also raced age group and pulled a 14th. For only being on my 85 a few months of which I have had a broken leg, I am pleased at my finish. I am heading to Glen Helen this weekend for my last big race before I have the nails removed from my leg. I can't wait to get rid of these nails. They keep pushing on my knee cap every time that I ride, especially through the whoops not to mention that I cant get my leg up in right hand turns. It makes racing a bit more difficult but I find a way to compensate for it.
Hope to see you at Glen Helen!
