Well this was my first big race after breaking my femur in April.  I am really happy with how I finished.  The competition was tough but I focused and rode really hard.

On my 65 I got an 8th in Open and a 10th in 9-11 age group.  On my 85 I raced age group and Novice.  The Novice class was tough and really stacked.  They split class in two divisions and without a final they scored it really screwy so in my first moto I placed 13th and my second moto 18th and somehow it gave me a 20th.  I also raced age group and pulled a 14th.  For only being on my 85 a few months of which I have had a broken leg, I am pleased at my finish.  I am heading to Glen Helen this weekend for my last big race before I have the nails removed from my leg.  I can't wait to get rid of these nails.  They keep pushing on my knee cap every time that I ride, especially through the whoops not to mention that I cant get my leg up in right hand turns.  It makes racing a bit more difficult but I find a way to compensate for it.

Hope to see you at Glen Helen!

Hey everybody,

I just broke my femur at the Loretta qualifier at Comp Edge.  Looks like Ill be walking on it in 1-2 weeks and back on the bike in no more than 6.  The crash was crazy, I locked bars with another rider, then fell down, then the bike flipped me about 50 feet along with the two other bikes that I guess bounced off me.  They put two titanium nails in my femur and said that it set so great that I can walk on it whenever Im ready.  Im stoked and cant wait to get back on the bike!

Looks like I will miss world mini's but be back in time for the regional qualifier in June.  I qualified in stock class but obviously not in mod.

Hey everybody!

Well I am back from Texas and had a great time!

At Whitney I qualified in the first motos for all my mains except one where my dad forgot to tighten the axel bolt and my back tire fell off.  In that consi round I wadded up and didnt make the main.  Oh well.  Three out of four isnt bad.  In each of my motos I took 18th which was the last transfer spot.  In my 2nd moto's I did pretty good.  I stayed on the bike and didnt come in last.  I finished in the 30's.  (see my results page for finishes).

We were off to Oak Hill.  That track was a bit more challenging.  Because there were only 30 some people in my classes it was a two moto format with no consi rounds.  In all motos, stock, mod, and open I finished with about the same placement that I had in Whitney.

My trip was definitely an eye opener.  It let me know what I need to work on.

Since I have been home I have been racing at every track that I can.  Last weekend I raced at Elsinore, Starwest, and Perris.  I have been working on my starts and have taken one hole shot and been taking the second spot if not holeshoting it.  At Elsinore, because the competition was not that great, I asked if I could race the open with the 80's.  They let me .  I almost got the holeshot in both moto's.  I ended up taking 3rd over all.  That was pretty cool.

Right now my bike is totally clapped out.  I am waiting for my mod to come back from the shop so I am just racing my practice bike and running it into the ground.  Every race something falls off. Ive lost 2 silencers this week.  Eventhough I am racing this POS I still keep it pinned everywhere I can.

I am heading out to Comp Edge this weekend for the Loretta qualifier.  Im not holding my breath but I am pretty sure I can make the top 12 to advance to the 2nd qualifier.  Taking top 4 in that is another story, however I have a couple months to work on it.

Wish me luck!

New Photos Posted, check them out!

Well I have almost been racing for one year (March).  This is my first Gold Cup Series and I am having a great time!

I was a little dissapointed with my finishes at LACR.  I had an 11th in my first moto and then went down in the second to take 23rd (out of 29) which gave me a 19th in my age group class.  Then in open I finished 9th in my first moto and again went down in the second moto to finish out with a 14th in open.

I had a much better day out at Perris.  This being my first bigger national I am proud to say that I finished Top Ten!!!

I am stoked and can't wait to go to Texas.  I know it will be tough but if I keep training every day, I know that I will be ready!!!

Just wanted to post an update.

I will be racing the CMC Goldenstate, not the Gold Cup.

Since I will be heading out to Whitney in March, the weekend we would go is the last round of Gold Cup and I dont want to work hard the whole series to miss out on a trophy so I will be racing the Goldenstate series.

I will be heading out in March for Whitney and Oak Hill.  I am really excited as it is my first out of state National.  It should be fun!  I have been training hard with Mike Craig and continue to shave seconds off my lap times and hone my skills.  I am looking forward to this season.  I will be at Glen Helen this Sunday for the first round of the Golden State.  Ill let you know how it goes.  Also, my myspace is up so check there for more details.  www.myspace.com/mxfam4.

Cameron!

I had a lot of fun this past weekend.  They had a three moto format.  I did well in the first two motos and then by the 2nd day for the 3rd moto it had rained so that track was pretty sloppy.  Everyone was going down.  I ended up taking 7th out of 10 in the 65cc 9-11 class and 7th of 16 in the Open class.  I am still running a stock bike which makes it hard to compete against the kids with the mod bikes.  My mom and dad tell me that it's better if I keep fighting to win on a stock bike instead of it just being the bike....yeah yeah yeah.  I am taking a week off and then plan to start training every day starting next week for the California Gold Cup and also for Whitney.  I am really stoked for the outdoor season to start!  Its gonna be an awesome year!!!
