Overview

How I got started

I got started because of my dad, he was always into bikes so naturally I was too. One day when I was 7 my dad got me a bike and I`ve been riding ever since.

Goals for the Future

Next season I`m planning on alot, I`m going to start training this fall and riding more regularly. Next season I`m going to try my hardest to finish consistently in the top 5 "B" class, and then I will probably race the 18-24 age group so that I can race "B`s" in some Am-nationals.

Bio

What inspires you to compete?

My love of riding and pure passion for the sport is what inspires me to compete. I love motocross, and just riding my bike in general. I go out to the races and compete to win, not just for my sponsors, but mainly for me. I dont care to be famous or rich, I just love to race. I'm just waiting for my big break, waiting for my chance to show everyone what I can really do on a bike. I would love to be able to go to all the amateur races and compete, but I'm not fortanate enough to have that kind of money, I'm not looking to be a "charity case" I just want the oppurtunity to prove that I can be fast and talented enough to race in the amateur ranks, and maybe even further. Bottom line I love motocross, and with any luck I'll be able to show what I can really do some day.

Describe your style...

On the track I try to stay smooth and flow through out the whole race. I've been told that I'm one of the smoothest riders out there, but I have a hard time seeing it myself so I'm always trying to perfect my riding. I hold myself back a little bit on some of the bigger jumps and rythm sections during a race, till I can comfortably ride those sections as smooth as possible during practice. I will hang it out during the race if I feel that I need to.

Off the track I like to get everything ready for the next moto as soon as I get back to my truck. Then I like to go and watch some of the other races to see where I can Improve. I will also talk to some of my friends about the race and we discuss what worked best for each other.

I take racing very seriously but I like to keep it fun too. When I'm not racing or getting ready for the next moto I like to joke around and have a good time with my friends.

Do you train? What does your schedule look like?

I try to keep a regular schedule, I do a 2.5 mile jog everyday that the weather lets me. I get as much practice time as I can in, but usually I ride Thursday after noons, and then on Saturdays and Sundays (whether I'm racing or not)

What do you want to be when you grow up?

When I grow up I would like to be a proffessional motocross racer. If I`m not able to live that dream then I would like to do something that is associated with the sport at least.

Employment / Experience Summary

I`ve been employed quite a bit for my age, I`ve had a job every summer since my 7th grade year and even managed to hold a few over the school year too. Currently though I`m working for an excavating company, and I really enjoy it.

Competitive Highlights

This is going to be my third season of racing and I've managed to make it to the B class. I suffered an injury at the end of last season and its taking longer than I anticipated to get back up to speed, but I am looking forward to being one of the top B riders this year.
