What inspires you to compete?
I have a very competitive personality. I have always been with my older brothers and felt like I could do anything they could - only better (they`re 7 years older). I love to ride fast and jump. Racing lets me do both. Being together with my family is a bonus.
Some Personal Information About Me:
I am going into 3rd grade at Gentry Intermediate School. I am an A student. I live on a farm with my parents and two older brothers. My oldest works at a local Motocross track and my other brother races and trains with me. I have my own practice track so I ride at least 5 days a week. I enjoy traveling to tracks with my family and meeting many other competive riders.
Describe your style...
Several people have told me I have a Carmichael style. Many have also compared me to Terren O`dell. I try to be smooth, very aggressive, fast in corners, and consistant to win. I get the hole shots almost all the time thanks to my training from Shannon Niday.
Do you train? What does your schedule look like?
Currently I do push ups, sit ups, jumping jacks, and ride my bicycle every day. I eat healthy snacks. I work on a circle drill, oval, & practice starts every time I`m on a bike. My practice track has great corners to work on.
How's Life Treating You?
2006 - This has been a great year. I`ve kept my grades at A`s while competeing nationally. We went to Vegas for the World Mini`s in April. I took 4th. Then we raced many local tracks in between qualifing for Ponca and Lorettas. Ponca was great. I came out with a 1st and 4th on the 65 then we went straight to Lorettas (hadn`t ever been). That was so much fun. I ran 10th in the first moto (went down on the last lap - finished 29th), 24th on the second moto and 11th on the final moto for a 20th place overall. Definitly looking forward to a better run next year.
2005 - The year started out great. Leading the Oklahoma state series by 14 pts then... I laid my 85 over, got ran over and ended up with a broken arm. Two pins and 6 weeks later I was ready to get back on a bike. My showing at Ponca was not what I had planned after just breaking my arm but as I got back into shape the Oklahoma state series came together for me and I won. 5 days later I won a National titile at Branson. This year has had its ups and downs but life is great as long as I can race.
