Latest and Greatest

11/17/08 Frustrating as hell not being able to race right now, I'm dealing with a pinched sciatic nerve from a work related injury. It's keeping me off the bikes and pretty much everything right now, it's been 6 weeks and I think there finally has been a turn for the better. Fingers crossed, I really wanna ride.

FIRST RACE BACK IN A LONG TIME, FEELS GOOD

10/10/08 Oh ya it definitely felt good to be back. The C/M No Wimps 250 was a team race with an unorthodox (for D38 hare scrambles) 63mi course. There was a fast fun first half, and a beat you up with brutal whoops second half, so it was a great workout and fun way to get started. We ran my roomate's/teammate's #808, reppin the Hawaii bruddahs. Solid race back with no crashes and a small mechanical (picked up a nail, flat rear), happy with an unofficial 11th OA, 7th Open Class, and a great burn that will definitely help out next race (Oct 19th comin up!).

BLING BLING YO

10/9/08 Buymoto got me set up with some spiffy new stuff for the bike that came in handy for sure this race.  The double rim lock saved my butt with the flat tire due to nail and looks bling with the anodized caps from Sunline that protect the threads/your rim. Gotta love the functional BLING!

SUMMER SHAKEDOWN, READY FOR WINTER SEASON

9/15/08 Prepping for a re-entry into the District 38 Desert season with some summer MX and occasional early morning dersert and mountain trips.  We'll try and get back up to speed this year and put in a solid season for 2009.  I especially want to thanks Buymoto.com, SixSixOne, and PeopleJar.com for helping me get my gear up to snuff and turning the 450X into a full-blown desert sled.

BACK ON THE HORSE, THIS TIME IT'S A CRF450X

1/31/2008 Rehabbing the knee has gone really well so far, 7 months from surgery and I'm coming back into the full swing of things with mt. biking, scuba diving, and of course --moto! I picked up a 450X a couple months ago and have been riding progressively more aggressively, so far so good and tons of fun! I feel like an old man with an electric start, but hey, it's sweet. New four strokes are kind of like cheating :) after all these years of screamin' out the two strokes.

TEAM SYSCO/FLOW RACING EXHAUST

I am proud to announce my signing on with Team SYSCO/FLOW Racing Exhaust as a racer on our Class 21 Team in the Tecate/SCORE Baja Series. SYSCO/FLOW Racing has a great race program rooted in generations of experience. Team manager Shannon Boothe brings invaluable Baja racing knowledge from years of co-driving and pit management with trophy truck teams. Collin Corrigan, rider of record, grew up exploring the endless trails of Baja and watched her evolve into the developing state she's in now. With the guidance of these two experienced Baja racers and the diverse racing history the rest of the team brings, look for Team SYSCO/FLOW Racing Exhaust to be showing Class 21 how to finish consistently up top!

SUMMER BREAK, TEAR, SPRAIN

6/21/07 Unfortunately, during practice for this year's Baja 500, I suffered a dislocated left knee and broken fibula. I am currently one week into my recovery from ACL reconstruction and LCL repair -- one more week until I can start some PT and work towards next season. I'm sitting 4th in class for the D38 Open class, hopefully I can get a decent year end placing with some worker points in the winter. Luckily the team was able to find a couple of last minute riders to fill in and I'm very proud of SYSCO/FLOW for pulling together a solid finish on a brutal course. A 10th place finish in the '07 Baja 500 puts us 9th in class for the year...for now!

THANK YOU RIDECLUBSD.COM

Thank you everyone at RideClubSD for all of your help "pitting" for me while I'm stuck in bed. Girlfriend Kathy and sister Florence have been the RideClubbers most devoted to keeping me fed, iced, hydrated and happy and it makes a HUGE difference so all you xtreme sportsters out there remember help your fellow cripple when you can!!

Congratulations to John Deuth for running a consistent year so far in the MDR Superstition Series, currently sitting 3rd in the 1450 class. John is racing his garage-built Toyota race truck #1476 with RideClubSD pit support. RCSD has been providing me with excellent pit support in D-38 and Baja so it is no surprise that things are going well with their expansion into support for truck racing.
