I haven't raced short track the last 2 weeks because of the heat and...it's not fun at all. I'm really sorry that I even volunteered now.
I can't wait for cross to start. It's all I think about. The different venues, the travelling, the camaraderie, the swearing, etc. Can't wait. In the mean time, I've had fun riding with friends and working at the bike shop. I rode Sunday & today; managing to avoid the heat both times but it'll catch up to me :)
The next big event might not be short track...we'll see. I've got Bike Beaverton slated for Aug 2nd and I'm gonna rock the SS bike for the 37-mile Bridge Pedal on Aug 9th. I'm hoping the heat will be tamer.
