What inspires you to compete?
My wife and two girls inspire me. Don't get me wrong, the feeling i get from racing around dodging riders really gets my adrenaline pumping, but when i come off the track at the end of a race or walk in the front door of my house after a race weekend, my daughter's eyes light up and i can see the pride in her and my wife. Something about knowing your family is proud of what you are doing is very rewarding.
Why do you like this sport?
I wrench on my own rides as well as many of my competitors rides. M/c and Atv racing seems to most people to be a individual sport, but most riders will agree that alot of work goes into racing before you even show up to the track. I like being involved and helping with others because even if i don't do well, they might and i know that i had a helping hand on getting their machine to the finish line. When i do well myself, i am very proud knowing that all my repair and prep work paid off.
