What inspires you to compete?

Watching up and coming riders evolve and improve each year is always entertaining. I would like to think that I am improving with them.

What has been your most embarrassing moment?

Big face plant in front of the audience after landing a backroll and catching my front edge during a competition.

Why do you like this sport?

This is a great way to have some intense fun in the sun and have your family and friends along for the ride. Thats why I started the Black Water Riderz wakeboard club.

Some Personal Information About Me:

I broke my leg in 7 places doing a 360. Now I have a stainless steel rod and 3 screws in my tibia from my knee to my ankle. I broke 1 of my screws in my ankle!! But I still ride!!

Beautiful wife and kids (girl&boy). Weedends off to wakeboard. The family loves it!!!

Where I compete

I compete in the Carolina Wake Series. The CWS is based out of Wilmington, NC with 8 different events in 4 different states. More events are being added along with additional states.

Wakeboarding is a sport I can say my heart is in. If I'm not riding my hyperlite then I'm thinking about it. My next trick to learn will be organizing a wakeboard club here in Myrtle Beach. Bringing others together and have fun doing what I like best. My daughter and son have really improved this year in particular and my role has changed more toward the driver of my 2005 Super Air Nautique. I still get my turn and even with 3 lbs of steel in my leg I can rip it up. With the support of "The Sail and Ski Connection",our local board shop and hyperlite next year will be intense.
