The Pro Gravity Omnium title honors the best all-around MTB gravity rider. Among pro women, Utopia® rider Sabrina Jonnier was considered the favorite coming into the weekend. On the men`s side, reigning Sea Otter Omnium champion & Utopia® rider, Mick Hannah, was the favorite. 2003 World Cup Champion Nathan Rennie, also sponsored by Utopia®, was also among the riders to watch.

The Pro Dual Slalom kicked off the weekend of competitive gravity events. Thousands of spectators lined the course to witness the sheer dominance of Utopia® athletes Nathan Rennie & Sabrina Jonnier ride to their respective wins. There was definitely a good omen for the weekend with two Utopia® athletes sitting on top of the podium.

Sea Otter Pro Gravity Omnium activities continued Sunday morning with the Pro Downhill finals. The heavy-hitters were on the attack in the pro women`s competition. Utopia`s® Sabrina Jonnier, considered the `rider to watch` in the event, finished 4th.

The competition was extremely tight on the men`s side. Utopia`s® Jared Graves surprised many by setting the time to beat early on which held off many elite riders, including 2004 World Downhill Champion Fabien Barel.

Concluding the weekend was the anticipated Pro Mountain Cross finals. Utopia® riders Jared Graves & Sabrina Jonnier made one more bid for the overall Omnium titles battling through rounds of intense competition. Both wrapped up their respected races with a pair of 3rd place finishes.

With all the events tallied up in the Pro Gravity Omnium, Utopia`s® riders held 3 prominent positions on the podium. Jared Graves sat on top of the men`s field in 1st place, while Mick Hannah sat in 3rd. On the women`s side, Sabrina Jonnier held off many powerful competitors and wrapped up her weekend 2nd overall.

Also taking place this weekend was the Pro Invitational Dirt Jump contest. Battling heavy winds & fierce competition, Paul Basagoitia represented Utopia Optics® with a variety of tricks that landed him into 4th place.

Primetime Utopia athletes were also dominating the weekend with Tommy Hollenbaugh winning his downhill class, 30-34 Sport, and Ross Boyes earning 5th in Downhill 15-18.

The Pro Gravity Omnium title honors the best all-around MTB gravity riders. It just so happens to be compiled of elite athletes who wear Utopia Optics®. The season looks bright for Utopia in `05!
