My Bulletin Board
District 34 #125 Just wanted to say thanks to my sponsors: Dunlop Steel MX Twin Air Panolin ASV Proworks Q&A - Personal
Some Personal Information About Me:
My names Chris Urmston. I live in Montgomery NY. I've been riding for only about a year but i have shown huge progress. I love riding and im goin to start racing in march. When i find a sport a love, im extremely competative and will do whatever it takes to win... motocross is that sport
Why do you like this sport?
It's different from alot of other sports. I love goin fast and flying over jumps. Im addicted to engines and speed. This is the kind of sport that if you believe in yourself, and believe you can win, theres a good chance that you will. Alot of my good friends ride as well, so it gives me a chance to bond w/ them more.
What has been your most embarrassing moment?
I was riding at a track one open practice and gave it too much gas over a jump and flew off the bike in mid air. So i got up and kept riding then noticed my front wheel was bent. I pulled to the side and try to fix and went back on the track without looking and ran right into someone. Then once i made sure they were alright i kept goin and hit a huge tabletop and nosedived straight into the ground. I busted my chest protector, rear fender broke off, broke my front brake lever, and the 2 number panels.
This was all on my first lap as well. lol
How's Life Treating You?
Well the term 'life is like a roller coaster' deffinitly proves to be true for me. My parents are in a tough situation with there jobs, and i might end up living w/ my uncle for a little while if they have to move. I have alot of friends and i get along with people pretty well. I've been a little stressed with everything lately, but as soon as i throw my leg over that bike, nothin could go wrong for me.
Do you train? What does your schedule look like?
Of course I train. I train whenever i can. On average i train about 5-6 days a week. Everyday i come home from school, ride for about an hour, wash and maintanance my bike, run 4 miles, work out for 40 minutes, then do my homework and finish up the day..... In the summer i dedicate all my time to riding and practicing because i just want to keep getting better and better.
