Looking to race a LOT more in 2010!!

I injured my wrist and thumb during a play ride day out in the sand dunes on New Years Day. I was off the bike and in a soft cast for 10 weeks. I started riding again the week leading up to the LL qualifier at Competitive Edge MX March 31st. I decided at 10:30pm Saturday night March 31st that I was going to race Sunday April 1 and do my best to qualify for the LL regional at San Bernardino. I signed up and raced  30+ B/C and 35+. I rode in a lot of pain and my wrist and thumb really started taking it's toll within a couple of laps of each moto. This caused me to ride very cautiously and just ride it out for a transfer spot. I ended up finishing 12th in 30+ and 8th in 35+ overall. And qualified to advance to Regionals. So I was happy about that, but was disappointed that my wrist injury limited to how well I could ride. But now I'm focused on training and riding to prepare me for Regionals in June! I'm also in the market for a new 07' 450 - as I raced a 06' CRF250 at Comp Edge against all 450's! I feel I'll need the 450 at Glen Helen for all the uphills and fast straghts! I'm going to try my best to regain the strength in my wrist/thumb and qualify so I can make it to the National Championship in Tennessee in August. So I thank you for all your support in helping me achieve my racing goals for this year and hopefully I'll see you at the BIG show at Loretta's. Thanks!

So far the beginning of 07' has not started off the way I would have hoped. New Year's Eve I was out riding in the Glamis Sand Dunes with some friends and crashed and severely sprained my wrist/hand and thumb. X-rays showed no broken bones but I'll be in a soft cast for 4 weeks. Therefore, I'm going to miss the majority of the CMC Golden State Nationals as well as the Gold Cup races that I planned to attend in January and February. If all goes well, I might be able to ride and race the last couple of CMC races and then race the CMC finals at Glen Helen on Feb. 24 and 25. After that, I look forward to preparing for the Loretta Lynn's area qualifiers.
