Thanks for viewing my profile!  I am 21 years old, and just graduated college with an Electrical Engineering degree from Texas Tech University.  I haven't raced as much as I like to over the past four years due to college obligations.  I am now done with school, and am getting back into the sport as fast and as hard as possible.  I have attended virtually every available race since I have been back home, and I am working hard to get back to top speed.  I currently ride a 2006 Yamaha YZ250F and have a new 2008 YZ450F and 2008 YZ250F reserved with my sponsor, Bobby J's Yamaha, as soon as the shipment comes in.  With adequate support I plan to pursue my pro racing career by attending AMA Arenacross events, along with various outdoor races.  I plan to represent myself and my sponsors to the best of my ability, and I know both parties will benefit greatly from this mutual endeavor.

Q&A - Personal

What inspires you to compete?

A natural aspiration to perform at the highest possible level and be the best at whatever I do.

Why do you like this sport?

Success depends largely on individual effort and determination. I am also "addicted" to the speed and air inherent in the sport. The motocross "family" is also usually the best group of people I can associate myself with.

Do you train? What does your schedule look like?

My training involves practicing and racing, weight training, and cardio. I usually practice 3 to 4 times a week at various tracks/freeride locations, I work out and do cardio 3 times a week between riding. I also race at least 2 to three times a month (often every weekend).

Do you like to travel? What's your best (clean) road trip story?

I love the travel that is involved with motocross, and meeting all the great people at new tracks/locations. One year we were on our way to Loretta Lynn's, and we saw some people riding at a small track off the highway in Texas. We stopped and asked if I could practice for a while, and after I finished they were so impressed with me that the owners gave me a key to the track. They told me I was welcome to ride there anytime I wanted, and we actually stop and ride whenever we drive through that part of Texas. There hospitality made me feel great, and was testament to the good nature of people involved in motocross.

Employment / Experience Summary

I am currently a Systems Engineer with Honeywell Aerospace Defense Avionics in Albuquerque, New Mexico. I work in the Displays and Graphics Center of Excellence, designing cockpit displays for military aircraft. I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Cum Laude, from Texas Tech University. I enjoy the challenging aspects of my job, and especially appreciate the flexibility of my work schedule. I make my own work schedule, and currently take off every other Friday which allows me to train adequately to compete at the highest possible level.
