Overview

How I got started

When I was three years old my Dad brought home a pw 50 and I`ve been riding ever since. I started racing in 2003 at the local tracks and this past year I started racing the District 14 tracks.

Goals for the Future

I plan on continuing to race the District 14 tracks and improving my riding skills over the winter by doing some indoor riding at arena cross tracks. The fall of 06 I broke my leg so I was out for the rest of the season.  I`m working hard to catch back up. Then I broke my wrist in the spring of 2007.  It's been a rough year for me, but that will only make me stronger.  I'm going to start weight lifting over the winter to get myself stronger physically.  I haven't really had a chance to race very much this year, just trying to recover from the broken bones.  I have two bikes a YZ 125 & YZ 250 my goal is to ride them both in 2008.  I'm working to place myself in the top 15% of my class for 2008.

Bio

What inspires you to compete?

My Dad raced when he was growing up and he always told me how much fun he had. So he built me a track in the backyard and I keep getting better. I want to show him that I am willing to work hard. Plus I like watching Ricky, Travis & Bubba compete against other riders and they make it look so easy, but I know it takes alot of work. I`m willing to work hard like them and maybe someday I`ll make it look easy too.

Some Personal Information About Me:

I am in the tenth grade at Caro Schools. I have been riding since I was three, but only racing for the last 5 years. I have an younger brother who also races and sometimes we get into some pretty good races with each other. In the Fall of 2006 I broke my leg half and I was out for 14 weeks.  I came back strong  in the Spring only to break my wrist.  It's been a difficult year for me.  I've only been to a  handful of races this year.  I will start lifting weights over the winter and I ride at least 3 times a week on our practice track.  My goal is to finish in the top 15% of my class for 2008.

Do you train? What does your schedule look like?

We have a track in the back yard and I try to get out there at least 2-3 times a week when school doesn`t get in the way. My Mom makes sure I am on the honor roll or I don`t get to race. We are usually gone on the weekends to the races, so I get to ride quite a bit. My summers are filled with riding!!!!

Do you like to travel? What's your best (clean) road trip story?

We did alot of traveling to the District 14 races this past race season. We have a fifth wheel that allows us to stay over night. My brother and I have a great time with all of the other racers. It`s pretty cool to hang around the other racers after we`ve put in a hard day at the track.

Employment / Experience Summary

I don`t have a real job, but I do go to my Dad's farm to help out . My Dad is an organic farmer and does welding & fabricating also; he lets me help out with work around the farm. I hoe my Dad's fields in the summer.

Competitive Highlights

I finished 2nd overall for the 04 season on my KX85 at two local tracks. For the 05 season we started racing the District 14 tracks. I typically finished in the top 3rd for my class. In September 06 my Dad bought me a new YZ125 so I hope to race that the last few races of the season.   In the September of 07 my Dad also bought me a YZ250.  So now I can train on two bikes.
