Midnight at Milford Mills July 18th 2009Delaware Trail Spinners Fair Hill Classic July 12, 2009 On July 12, 2009 I took part in one of the largest XC races on the east coast: The Delaware Trail Spinners Fair Hill Classic! At this event there where more than 400 racers from all around the Delmarva region! The race was very fun and fast but it was a long 13.5 miles! In my age group I took my third 1st place of the season! I beat 2nd place by more than a minute and a half! I am currently ranked 1st place overall for the Mid Atlantic Super Series XC Cup! Thanks to all my sponsors Chesapeake Cycle and Sport, Honey Stinger, Christopher Bean Coffee, IceToolz, SockGuy, and Siesta Massage Racing Team!Long Pine Classic July 5, 2009 2nd place (My rear tire is flat :( My dad with his 1st place medal! On July 5, 2009 I participated in the Long Pine Classic at Michaux State Forest. Unfortunately there was a lead group of about 5 beginners who where going really fast and where ahead of all of the other beginners. I was towards the front of this pack and around the 5 mile mark we where instructed to turn right where we should have gone straight L To make a long story short the guy directing us thought we where experts because we where so far ahead so that group of us did an extra 3-4 miles of the expert course. Despite this setback (and a flat tire in the last .1 mile of the race) I was still able to take 2nd place! It was a great racecourse with some tricky descents and some challenging climbs but overall a great day! I would like to thank all of my sponsors: Chesapeake Cycle and Sport, Honey Stinger, Christopher Bean Coffee, IceToolz, SockGuy, and Siesta Massage Racing Team! Tour de Tykes Sunday June, 7, 2009 1st place medal! Finish! Sponsors! The bike! On Sunday, June 7, 2009 I competed in the Tour de Tykes XC race in Danville, Pennsylvania. This race has the most climbing and vertical of any race in the Mid Atlantic Super Series with more than 1800 feet for beginners. At this race I won my second 1st place medal for the 2009 season and now am tied for 1st place in overall points for my age group: Beginner Junior 2 ages 13-15 in the Mid Atlantic Super Series! My next race will be the Guy’s Neshaminy XC Classic race on June 21, 2009. Wish me luck! Thanks so much to all sponsors: Chesapeake Cycle and Sport, Honey Stinger, Christopher Bean Coffee, IceToolz, SockGuy, and Siesta Massage Racing Team!
Iron Hill Challenge Sunday, May, 31 2009Escape From Granouge! Sunday May, 3, 2009 A little bit dirty after the race Still dirty and cold 2nd Place Podium Shot About 1/4 thru this muddy race still with a smile! The 2nd race of the Mid Atlantic Super Series was: Escape From Granouge! Because it rained for the entire week before the race the course was completely full of mud! The race course for beginners was even worse because we where the last class to go and by the time that the experts and sport had ripped the trails to bits there was a constant path of 3-4 inches of mud where a fun and exciting race course used to be. Despite the muddy conditions I managed to finish 2nd! Overall it was a really fun and muddy race! Thanks to all my sponsors: Chesapeake Cycle and Sport, Honey Stinger, Christopher Bean Coffee, IceToolz, SockGuy, and Siesta Massage Racing Team! Bike Line Race @ Fair Hill MD April 19, 2009
