He won the big one…twice, and he’s still searching for that perfect day. The Winningest American triathlete since the glory years of the big four. Two time winner of the hardest one day endurance event in the world – The Hawaiian Ironman World Championships, as well as, winner of too many international events to count. An exercise physiology major while at the University of Iowa, Tim chose to pass on pursuing a medical degree to follow his dreams of racing the professional circuit. Still considered the most successful American racing today, Tim is gearing up for an attempt at a third Ironman world title this October.
Most happy when he’s left alone to train. It’s not easy to reach “Timmy”, known not to respond to emails or phone calls for days if not weeks. Favorite sustenance, espresso double shot. One good thing: those weeks following Ironman in October where he can do everything he set aside during the long race season.
