Q&A - Competition

How did you get started?

I started racing when I was 11. My first bike though was a Z50. She was ancient but awesome. I rode my Z for a few years before finally getting a YZ 85 when I was 11. This thing was the pimp nasty, Damon Bradshaw PINK. Those were the days. I raced my first AMA race on the YZ in the mud at Hidden Acres MX in Tennessee. When I finally got my new KX big wheel 85 it was nothing but 52 weekends a year we were at the track. My dad was my biggest inspiration at the time.

List your competitive highlights:

I have had some good showings at Loretta Lynn's mostly a top ten in the 250B class in 98' on a KTM. Every weekend for me was a highlight. I don't have any big national championships. I have had my fair share of wins in B class races as well as the A class. I enjoy every part of getting out and competing on the weekends.

What are you planning for next season?

My plans are always foggy for the up and coming seasons due to the fact that I am currently in the United States Marine Corps. But my hopes are to get enough time on the bike to be ready for Loretta's this year. I would like to compete in the Motocross A/(Pro-Sport), and or the Junior 25 Plus.

What has been your biggest accomplishment?

I am currently a husband to one and a father to three. I started young but have no regrets. I have a wonderful and very supportive family who all enjoy being at the motocross track. They sacrifice so much because with 12-14 hour days at work then you tack on training on and off the motorcycle they give up alot of time.
