Hi, my name is Tyler Chidester and I've been racing since I was 9 years old. I started in the 65cc C class. After racing in that class for a year I won my first TORO (Texas Off-Road Racing Organization) race at 4L Ranch located in Jacksboro, Tx. In 2004 I moved up to the 65cc B class. After 2 years of riding in that class I got 2nd over all only 9 points behind 1st. Currently I'm racing TORO in the 85cc B class.
My dad and I love to ride together. My mom and sister are cheerleaders on the side of the track. They support us in everything we do. My mom is on the board of directors for TORO and is the Pee-Wee director. We are the closest family at the motorcycle races. I'm very lucky to have them.
My school grades are what keep me riding. If I didn't make good grades my parents would take away my bike. I'm a straight A student and got the Smart Racer award in 2004. This award was presented to the top 3 racers with the highest overall gradepoint average. Last year, I received the principal's award in school which was awarded to the overall top 2 students in the entire 6th grade class.
