Overview

How I got started

I started racing in 2003. My parents started me on a PW 50. We raced local fair races that year and a couple local district races. We started racing on snowmobiles and we needed something to do in the summer so we went racing motorcycles.

Goals for the Future

For the 2007 season I am going to race the 65 10-11 and the 85 7-11 classes. With a little more work, I think I can win a national title. I am going to attend Lake Whitney, Oak Hill, Ponca, Lorretta`s, and the Mini O`s. I want to get more top 3 finishes with some titles also!

Bio

Why do you like this sport?

I like to spend time with my family and friends. We`re together all the time.

Some Personal Information About Me:

My name is Taylor Witt. I love to ride motorcycles. I race about twice a month in the summer. I practice about 4 times a week with my mom. In the winter I like to ride snowmobiles and go snowboarding. My mom and I spend time in Texas and Florida during the winter to ride and train since it is too cold in Minnesota to ride. When I`m not riding I like to play with friends. We swim in our pool, play airsoft, golf, play basketball, baseball or anything fun. I ride 65s, and 85s. I like the 85 the best because it has more power and better suspension.

Describe your style...

I try to be smooth. My trainer says I look comfortable on the bike.

Do you train? What does your schedule look like?

I ride four days a week. I race and practice on the weekends. Mom and I either ride bike or get on the tread mill three times a week.

Why do you compete?

I love the feeling of being nervous on the line and going into that first corner. Winning races gives me the best feeling.

Competitive Highlights

My most recent accomplishment was at the 2006 Texas spring nationals. At Lake Whitney my best finish was a 3rd in the 65 7-9 stock class. At Oak Hill I had two great finishes. I got 2nd in 65 7-9 stock and 5th in 65 7-9 mod. My 5th place finish at the Mini O`s in the 65 7-9 supercross race was awesome. My best highlight was at the 2005 Lorretta`s Amateur National. I went 13-2-3 for fourth overall. The two podiums were so awesome. I knew I had the speed but it was beyond my expectations. The second best was 2004 at Lorretta`s. I raced the 50cc. 7-8 class my 7 year old year. I tied for 10th. That was the biggest race of my life up to that point. I was able to race in the 2004 Minneapolis Supercross in the KTM Junior Supercross Challange. It was the experience of a lifetime and I finished 2nd place. My first Amateur National race was Branson, MO in 2003. I placed 11th in the 50cc 7-8 class. I hope to continue getting top 5`s at the nationals I attent.
