This adventure began with an enthusiasm to get in shape and shed some serious college beer weight. I bought a bike and was immediately hooked. Even though the addiction to cycling was extreme, i still felt that I wanted to test more of my physical limits, so I began swimming. At first I couldn't swim more than one length of the pool without having to take a break, but quickly one length turned into 500 meters, then 1000 meters, then 3000. I continued to feel the need for more, so for the first time in my life, I began running. The adrenaline rush was awesome. This natural progression brought me to the triathlon world.
I decided to sign up for Vineman 70.3 last year and began training. Having no idea how I'd do, I was floored when I finished my first Triathlon in 5:16. I immediately signed up for Soma Half and got my time down to 4:55. The amount of progress I showed in only two races brought me to Camelback Coaching.
I base my life on Jack Johnson's quote, "Don't let your dreams be dreams." I have an incredibly supportive wife and family who continue to push and encourage me, and I can't wait to see how far I can go.
