Well I arrived back in Texas!! It is great to be back in the warm weather and even the rain.  Things have been very busy and interesting.  Western Regionals is over and it was exciting to be there and compete even under the conditions (will explain later).  The race was great 3 women were within a tenth of second of each other and on race day three, 3 men tied for second to the hundredth of a second after 2 races (included is another Texas slider Chase Dehan).  It was a close race and overall I am pleased with my results coming in behind the sliders that have been sliding over a season.

There were many technical problems with my equipment that had to be dealt with the day before competition to included torching  bolt out of my sled to getting new runners with new cuts 30 min before the sled had to be in the controlled area.  So after breaking the cardinal rule of don’t change anything on race day by doing it with several things by necessity not want, I think that it all went very well.

Ending up 9th overall for western regionals after sliding full time for only a month is a huge win in its self and can’t wait to see what is to come.  Currently I am get re adjusted to being home getting ready to get back to work and getting ready to go to New York in April for both training and hopefully a competition.  This month I should have my athlete evaluation and find out were I will be named as far as Regional or National Devo team. Until then I will be working, working out and training.

I would like to take a moment to say thank you to both my family, friends and sponsors for their support.  (you have no idea what it means to me!)

Pictures to follow soon.

Good luck
