The Long PIne Classice was a race ran on July 5th. It was really a beautiful day I must say the trails were dry and fast with some nice rock gardens. It was a very nicely run event by Zach Adams. I do hope they have the race again next year.

I finishe dthe Tour De Tykes race sixth overall in my class. It was a fun race not too hot but hot enough. There was alot of climbing to be done 1800 ft of elevation from what the website had said.

Rode Tour De Tykes which was good to get back out there with a full release from the doctors. placed sixth in my class overall. I have no idea where I placed through in the race completely though.

I am getting better and better everyday. I am slowly begin let do some weight lifting still not much weight but I will be back to normal soon enough.

Slowly getting back in to riding this week. Been going to physical therapy twice a week now, in order to get my back healed. I know it will take some time to heal. The therapist isproud to see that I am moving to get my back into shape and not sitting around gaining more weight to make it worse.

Finally got to ride the bicycle outdoors this past Sunday and today. It felt great to get back out and riding. I did not have much pain in the lower back. The saddle postion was fine and I really did not have to adjust it much only move it forward a small amount. Felt great to be back on the bike though...

Well I am back to the gym still using the treadmill, eliptical, and the recumbent bicycle to get some exercise. And with some suprising results at that. When I got back to the gym I was going very slow just to get my gym legs back and the walking ones. But it has been over two weeks and it feels great to be back to the gym. I have lost some more of  the weight. That I put on while injured.

After almost getting killed by a drunk driver , I was able to get to the doctors and hear some news on my condition. The good news is my CT scan came back fine, which means there is nothing wrong with my brain, no fluids leaking. So she is letting me get some exercise in given I have to monitor how much due to the back spasms I have been having since the accident. Which is a good thing alittle bit of exercise cannot hurt. Besides I had gone up in weight since the accident I was not allowed to exercise for 2 straight weeks.

Well this is my first blog of the year. I started out the new year good. I was going to the gym about 5 days a week. I was jogging and walking more at the gym. I was waking up early to go to the gym first thing in the morning then go to work after wards. The it went to hell in a handbasket.
January 30th will be another day that I will not soon forget. It will be a day that I would like too but I do not think I will be able to forget it. I was driving to go pick my nephew up from his mothers' with my older brother. It had snowed outside  a good amount so we decided to leave a little bit later to let the salt trucks put some salt down and plow some of the road. When we were hit on the drivers side. Air bags were deployed, seat belts were worn and my brother and I were both injured while the driver of the other vechile was not injured. All I know is my head is messed up bad, speaking has become a struggle and I have to get a CT scan again. People if it snows bad take your time...

Bear Creek was the Final MASS Race of the season. In my mind I thought the course could not have been really bad. The race day. The course was in my mind I think 70% rocks, well boulders. That  was in my mind now even harder and more challenging then French Creek. But it is now one of my favorite courses. It challenges all parts of the body even your mind.
