Bio from Teammoneyshot.com
My name is Jeff Stambaugh, I was born Oct 1, 1971 and I have been riding since I was 5. I started riding because it was what we did as a family. My first race was the Horn Rapids Spring Hare Scramble in 2006. I started racing because we had just started a loosely formed race team and everyone else was racing and I thought, “If they let me race the Rhino I'm in….”
I was born in Seattle in 1971, and started riding a Bushwacker mini (basically it was a 5hp Briggs & Stratton on a frame with go-cart tires) at the age of 5 long before the days of youth bikes. I could not touch the ground and had to plan my stops accordingly.
My first real bike was a 1974 Yamaha 60. I eventually moved up to a 1978 YZ80 that was reworked to go way too fast for the suspension under it. I rode that bike into the ground. Then in 1986, my dad bought me a 1984 CR 125 that was also way too tall for me. I rode that for several years and then made my first trip to the dunes in 1993 or 1994 on a borrowed 1986 TRX 250R. I sold the 125, bought the TRX from the guy who loaned it to me, and never really rode in the dirt again until I bought the Rhino.
My goal for 2008 is to win the WORCS Rhino Class Championship for the third time.
