I live and ride in NJ. Having said that and attending the Atlanta SX for the 2nd time, I understand why we don't have a Supercross race in the area. The pits are like a shopping mall. Too nice.
I raced back in the 80's at Giants Stadium. The problem is 1st the weather and fan turnout. Over 70 thousand in Atlanta and sold out. Giants stadium had less people than my High School Football game.
Staying at a friends house, ( Thanks Allan and Mary Grace ) It was hard to decide where to ride. Meaning that there are over 20 tracks within 2 hours from his house. Not just race tracks but, places to ride. NY and NJ have to do something. Not sure we need more condo's ?
Oh yeah, The Race. RC was a little off the pace but, not much. James triple triple double, was just nuts. He was doing it in practice. TV does no justice. Reed, well time to hang it out or just keep playing it safe. I don't think he is going for the title this year. He, like all of us are waiting for Bubba to crash.
250f or Lites. What happened to Honda ? Tommy Hann or Billy L. That is the question. The kid from Canada is very good. Could be his title this year. Alessi, better luck at the outdoors. Dungy is real.

Pro MX 2006
I went to 5 Pro events this year.
Orlando, SX High Point, MX338, Unadilla, Broome-Tioga.
Orlando, Where are the Suzuki spotters ?
Bubba tripled this section in practice and no one told the RC camp about it. Bubba used it in the race and was gone.
High Point National.
RC`s crash in practice over whoop section, took him over 2 minutes to get up off ground. Did not say or show on tv broadcast. He`s a tough guy. James crash, well so far no one has taken the pressure of RC for 30 minutes. 2nd moto, No James, but RC almost crashed 5 or 6 times in the triple triple whoop section, feet off pegs, off the track one time. Not sure why he don`t slow down ? Guess mad at himself at that section of track, because could not get it right. See you at Southwick.
Southwick, SAND
Went to Southwick, James looked very fast, RC`s bike in first moto looked like Shi*. back end all over the place and crashed while leading. 2nd moto, well put James away early. If you have never been or ridden the sand there, you must. A great battle, RC and James just pulled away from the field. ( except David Millsaps hung in there for a few ) I got to ride the track this year at the local level and I never seen a track change so much from practice to race time. A flat wide open practice session to knee deep whoops at moto time. Another get off for James, well motor this time.
Unadilla, no thrilla
James looked fast in practice and all had trouble in the back section uphill whoop section. The one Travis made famous on the last lap. I was there on the infield that year and he crashed at our feet. I could have picked his bike up, we were that close. What a shame. Bubba no show for moto 1 and got to watch a good ride by Tim Ferry. The 250f class was a see saw battle. To see RV rail outside lines around the track was awesome.
Binghamton, Good bye
Sorry to see it go, but nothing we could do about it. Alessi blew it, RC threw it down and Bubba looked to play it safe. I'm going to miss Bubba's whips, The downhill triple and a friend who lives 20 minutes from the track. Going to need a reason to visit him now. Good luck Texas.
