What has been your most embarrassing moment?
When I first got into riding, we went up to Muenster to do some trail riding. While we were up there it started raining while we were riding. To get back to camp we had to cross a river. Well, this river was not high at all when we left, but when we came back it had risen high because of the rain. Everyone had a big bike and I had a Yamaha 80. I thought I would have no problem as long as I kept on the throttle. Everyone kept saying, "keep on the throttle, don`t let up!" So here I go to cross, and would you know that I got half way across when the river took me down. My bike and me were under water and all that was sticking out was my right grip. Talk about embarrased! One of our friends ran across and picked up the bike out of the water and carried it out. Now why didn`t he offer to do that in the first place??
Why do you like this sport?
I love this sport!! I really enjoy the off road racing more than the motocross. I think it`s alot more challenging and technical. You`re not just focusing on jumps, you have to focus on rocks, trees, hills, water, logs, etc. The challenge of the sport is a thrill...such an adrenaline rush!
Describe your style...
Hmmm, this is a tricky question. Ask my husband and he`d say I ride over my head, ask me, I call it aggresive riding :) I am a very competative rider, but I believe I still have a lot to learn. There are times when I should probably let off the throttle, but if I think I have it, I`m gonna take it because if I don`t, I may not get it again.
Why do you compete?
I compete because it challenges me and my skills. I learn a lot from others when I complete and I can take that with me anywhere. Being competative pushes me to do better, mentally and physically.
