Why do you like this sport?

I like this sport because of the sheer challenge, not just myself and the other racer`s, that is only a small part of the equation, I mean the challenge of me against the weather, the course, the challenge against myself, telling me it is time to quit or die from my heart pounding out of my chest! or freeze to death, it is a race of attrition, and I love that it take`s that kind of tuffness! and you really have to Give`er

What inspires you to compete?

Probably the local Pro`s Molly Cameron and Erik Tonkin Both very down to earth and very approachable, and have been very helpfull with setting up my bike!

How did you get started?

My, friend Jesse Lopez has been racing cross for a couple years, and after we spent the summer riding everything we could enter, he talked me into it, I bought my bike at the starting line of my first race last year at Alpenrose dairy,at 8;30 start time was nine switched out pedals set seat lined up and raced!! That was it I have been hooked since!

List your competitive highlights

USGP Portland Oregon was awesome with all of the pro`s and thier trick bike`s, I placed 12th a very good finish for me, but the best was at Krugers crossing a cold miserable super muddy course and my best finnish a 9th,it really showed me the tougher the course gets the better I ride and am relly looking to be fit and ready for 07-08!!

What are you planning for next season?

I`am moving up to race the men`s C class, a very large and very competitive class, I`am focusing on my diet and will incorporate running and a lot of hill`s into my training, I really want to podium this season and finnish in the top ten, this will really be something in my second year!!

What has been your biggest accomplishment?

At 44 just getting back on the bike and being competitive is truely an accomplishment, from where I was 2 years ago. And now to bounce back after such a horrible accident,Broken shoulder spiral fracture in my arm resulting in 2 steel plates and 12 sqrews and now getting fit and ready to race, plus moving up a class I`m stoked man!!
