On Thursday September 28th i will be having surgery on my shoulder. The surgery is outpatient and very simple it just takes a long recovery period of 3-6 months. I struggle all year long with my shoulder subluxing which basically means it comes out of socket, from just a little bit to full dislocation but it would always go back in but it always came out during my race and would be a distraction. As soon as the doctor gives me the ok i will be working with Dr. Riess of MotoTST on rehabilitation and cardio workouts to try to keep my in the best shape as possible to be ready for next season.

At a recent local race i was involved in a wreck were me and another rider collided and the quad flipped on top of me. I ended up pulling the tendons in my shoulder and i am to sit out for at least 6 weeks but hopefully i will be ready in time to start the new WPSA Powersport Tour featured on ESPN 2 in Daniel Boone, KY.

Well i made the trip down to Kentucky for the new ESPN series but i couldn`t get a ride until friday night causing me to miss practice. I got 3 laps in on Saturday morning with the A Class riders and i got most of the jumps down so i felt pretty comfortable on the track. In my first heat i was running 2nd after the first half of a lap and i overshot the Table Of Two and reinjured my shoulder and i`m back out for a few more weeks to let it heal.

Well Wildcat is about an hour from my house and i had ridden there many times with very good results (only losing one moto). So my hopes were high coming into the weekend. Heat 1 i started out 2nd and finished 2nd. In the second moto i started out 8th and i managed to work my way up to 2nd before the end of the moto and thats were i finished. In the main i pulled the holeshot and half a lap later i made a bobble in a corner and got passed by series leader Matt Bremer but i managed to hold on to 2nd place and pressured matt for the rest of the race but couldn`t make the pass. I am currently 5th place in points and i could possibly move up to 3rd place if i make good results at the series finale in Englishtown, NJ.

I missed the WPSA in Georgia due to my injury but i went to Illinois hoping to make up some ground on points. In my first heat i started out second and ended up 4th. Second heat i had a bad start and worked my way up from 16th to 6th when i got my foot caught in the netting of my nerf bar and ran over my foot and nearly hit a fence! but i recovered quickly and i finished the heat in 8th while in a lot of pain. I woke up the next morning to a swollen and bruised foot and my hopes for the main were to get a good start and hopefully ride a smart, smooth race to not aggravate my foot any worse. I started out in about 5th and in the 2nd turn me and another rider got hung up and by the time we got untangled the rest of the pack was nearly half a lap ahead and i ended up 15th.

I moved up to A class at Hangtime Saturday at the night race and got second to a local pro. I look forward to being in this new class and I can`t wait for the new competition.
