What inspires you to compete?
Michael Lewis. The kid has a heart to die for, the first weekend in August of 2005 he wrecked at a local track and severed his spinal cord and became paralyzed from the belly button down. Never once did i ever hear that kid say anything negative or have any regrets. Well there was one, he wished he had wrecked trying to do Larocco`s Leap at Red Bud instead of wrecking over a small double. What happened to him was a fluke accident the kid basically wins ever race he enters in 2004 he won state in 125 C and 250 C and even after wrecking in 05 he had a big enough points lead to still win state in the 250 B Class. And when he was on stage for that reward i don`t think there was a dry eye in the place as he received a standing ovation and a long deserved round of applause. He`s the reason i still compete....
Describe your style...
My style of racing is very relaxed. I like to sing when i`m on the line (strange i know but it works) it helps me to relax and i ride smoothest when i have fun so i can`t get pumped up too much. I try to ride like Tim Farr, very smooth, smart, and always consistent.
Why do you compete?
I compete because i absolutely love this sport, I enjoy every aspect of it whether wrenching on the quad, racing, hanging out with friends and family. I have had some very bad weekends of racing but when its all said and done i still had the best time of my life. I also love to push myself to the limits and every weekend you learn something new and the more you race the faster you become.
What do you want to be when you grow up?
My plans after high school consist of going to MMI for 2 years to be a mechanic so i can do all the work on my quad and i also want to become a Professional ATV Racer. I also plan on continuing the family business of farming.
