Bio

What inspires you to compete?

Watching David Bailey and Rick Johnson race in the 80`s. My grand-father, who was racing dirt-track in the `40s

What has been your most embarrassing moment?

My mom pulled my out of a moto I was leading during a muddy race because she was scared!!! I got back on the track, passed 4 guys and won it. Anger was a great motivator that afternoon. I was 17.

Why do you like this sport?

I like everything about this sport: the bikes, the tracks, the stars, the gear, the competition, the people I meet, the satisfaction I get from doing a good lap, the crowd, the marketing and graphic design that go in thi ssport are awesome. Always improving. Always trying to go forward.

Why do you compete?

I like competition, I like the atmosphere at a race, I like to challenge myself to get better at what I do, and I just love the feelings I get when lined up with 30 other furious riders. I also compete because I have 3 boys and I am helping them to get into racing, I want to be a kind of an example to them. charge as hard as you can and respect the others.

How's Life Treating You?

A beautiful wife, 3 great step-sons, a garage full of MX bikes, a good job, Life is treating us well. I would only want to have more riding time.

Competitive Highlights

Living in Madagascar, won the 125 titles in 1984 and 85 on a Honda CR125. Stopped due to college, got back into enduro in the mid-90`s, on KTM`s. Raced a few enduros and GNCC in Kenya/Tanzania (East Africa), finished top 10 in all.
