Q&A - Competition
How did you get started?
I started riding because My dad and big brother went riding with my Aunt and Uncle all the time, and I was tired of staying at home. I started racing after we moved to Phoenix and the cloest place for us to ride was at ET Moto Park. After riding the track on the weekend for a few months I asked my dad if I could race. He laughed because I was riding a KLX110 at the time, but he let me. After I figured out I really couldn't compete on the 110 a begged for a 65. My birthday came and there was a brand new 2006 KX 65 and the rest is history.

What has been your biggest accomplishment?
Winning the 65 beginner class is still best memory I have.

Q&A - Personal
Do you train? What does your schedule look like?
Yes. I am currently working on a new training schedule with my trainer Justin Buckelew. Since school has started my new schedule needs to fit around my school schedule. This is not as easy as it first appears. Ideally I need to spend some time at the gym, sometime on my mountain bike, and sometime on the motorcycle at least five days a week, as well as practice time at the track with Justin a couple times a week, mix in a few races a month, and all of that and still leave time for school and homework
What do you want to be when you grow up?
A pro Supercross and Motocross Rider
Do you like to travel? What's your best (clean) road trip story?
Yes I love to travel, and my favorite way to travel is by air, but that in not the way I do most of my travel. Most of our travel is done in our Chevy duramax diesel towing our toyhauler. That is how we travel to most of my races.
My best travel story happened on our way home from a night race at Speedworld. It was after midnight by the time we were loaded up and ready to hit the road, and I was so hungry I was complaining to my dad that I would die if I didn’t get food fast. The only place we could find was a Burger King, not exactly what I should be eating, (and I hope Justin isn’t reading this), but it was all we could find. We pulled in parked the truck and trailer and walked up to the door. Locked, dang, only the drive thru was open. After several minutes of checking out the drive thru my dad determined there was no way we were fitting thru with the trailer, and no way he was unhooking in the parking lot just to go thru. After I convinced him of exactly how hungry I was, off we went to the order board. Oh did I mention on foot. We stood at the order board for a few minutes and quickly realized that they didn’t know we were there, so up to the window we walked, my dad knocked on the window, and the lady finally came over. “You have to have a car to order” she said. Well now the challenge was on, and my dad loves a good challenge. Five minutes later we were walking back to the truck with our chicken, fries, and a milk.(it was really a coke, but Justin might be reading). My dad and I laughed all the way home, come to think of it I think that is the first time I have stayed awake with my dad on a night trip home.
How's Life Treating You?
Actually pretty great right now. If I stop and look at it I basically am living the live of a factory rider. I have a team manager, mechanic, hauler, driver, and a great support team. Life is pretty good.
