Some Personal Information About Me:
Great equipment, sponsors and family support, I started this year out with great confidence. This year we wanted to do everything we could to prepare for Loretta Lynn's. Starting the year as early as possible, first thing we did was go to Millsaps Training Facility (MTF) in Cairo, GA. Our first practice session after returning home I broke my collar bone. After surgery and healing from that I broke a toe in an accident unrelated to riding motorcycles, compound fracture and a bloody mess. 2006 and 2007 brought some broken bones and missed opportunities that I've learned a lot from. 2008 will be a new year and a chance at great success like I had in 2005 with a top ten overall finish at Loretta Lynn’s. My personal goal is to better those finishes. My fitness is better than ever and will get even better after playing 9th grade basketball this winter and the effort I put into training out side of school sports.
I play basketball at school. In the first grading period I averaged a 3.875, only getting a B in my honors class. I love to ride my 110 pit bike. I am always trying to learn how to do a bigger trick on it. My favorite track is Beans Road in Dennison, OH. Training: Millsaps Training Facility-2007, Dave Bernard @ MX153, Louisville, OH - Coach and Trainer, Tony D MX School, Gary Semics accredited course, instructed by Eric Klein, Spencer, OH.
Music?
I love music. I love to listen to it before I ride to get pumped up. My favorite is rap and rock. I really like classic rock too.
Why do you compete?
I love this sport so much. I love to ride and win. The nationals are the best though because you get so many fast riders. I love to ride with fast racers and do well. This sport is very fun and exciting. It holds the family together and keeps us going.
Do you like to travel? What's your best (clean) road trip story?
`We`ve had some big time fun going to all parts of the country. We road tripped to a track in Yadkinville, North Carolina one winter with a friend of mine and his Dad. My friend and I were in the back of the truck and he got sick at a toll booth. While his dad was handing money to the toll booth guy, my friend was "yakking" out the vent window in the back of the extra cab truck. His Dad pulled up and he high tailed it out of the driver`s seat to let my friend yak some more, outside the truck this time. When we got to the track I was coming in from practice and the guy pitted next to us was asking my Dad if he knew one of our kids was throwing up on the other side of the trailer. He told him he knew he was sick. That was a Saturday practice day and he was all better by race day, Sunday. That night we went to a motel in town and we were jumping on the bed. Dad told me to settle down and get in bed. When I pulled back the covers a cockroach jumped out of the bed onto the floor and disappeared out of sight. Then I found some smashed ones from when were jumping on the bed. That was pretty gross!! My Dad went to the front desk and they arranged for another room for us to stay in for free that night. We accepted but on the condition we could pull back the covers and inspect the room before we moved our stuff for the night. I`ve raced in FL, GA, TN, VA, KY, NC, SC, OH, PA, NY, MI, IN, IL, OK, NV, WI, MD, close to half the United States, Canada and maybe Europe are yet to come. Traveling can be a lot of fun, you never know what you'll get into.
