My son and I got hooked on Mt Bike racing.  We have been doing a lot of training this past summer and did a Mt Bike and Cyclocross race in the past month.  This should be good cross training for the up coming TORO season.

Tyler and I did our first Enduro.  The 1st half was awesome.  Perfect weather, perfect track, tons of fun!  The second 1/2 was in Bill's woods.  Not so much fun.  It was tough getting through to the end.  We took our time and did finish the short course.  Tyler got 1st in the mini class!  He was the only one that could finish in his class.  Looking back on it now, we are really looking forward to doing another Enduro.  Now we know how it all works.  We will be much better prepared next time.

The Red Bull Last Man Standing race is this weekend!  Very cool event.  Cindy and I will be working the race and spectating.  Should be awesome weather for the race.  The track is supposed to be much more difficult than last year.

The race at the BSGP was a big hit.  TORO had a large turnout.  Over 400 racers showed up and the track and weather were excellent.



Tyler got his first holeshot on his 85!  He battled with another rider for 1st for 1 lap.  There was a creek jump that we practiced and he was the only one in his class to do the jump.  After he hit the jump he checked out on the rest of his class and won by almost a minute.  Was a fun race to watch.



My race was another story.  Got a good jump off the line and then stalled the bike!  Then it wouldn't start.  Finally got going but my entire class was gone and I was in last.  There were 16 in the class and could only manage to get up to 8th before the race was over. 



Was a fun weekend.  Next race is at Bowie.  That should be a fun track and a good turn out if the weather stays good.

The BSGP buddy race was a big hit this year.  They had record numbers.  Tyler and I rode the father/son class which was stacked with some of the best racers in the state.  The race went well, and we had a blast.  Got to see alot of racers there.  Ended up finishing mid-pack which wasn't bad considering some of the teams had pros riders.  Good times!

Going to race the annual Brian Storrie Grand Prix buddy race this weekend in Denton.  This is always a fun event.  I don't think we have missed one yet.  This year I am going to team up with my son, Tyler.



The next TORO race is at BSGP so this will be good practice for the race next weekend.
