2009 Write Up
It was an interesting year for racing. I only made it to two races and I crashed pretty hard in them both, but still placed well! With out a DH sled I had to become that gnar hardtail guy that downhills with only 100mm of front travel. Without much racing I did put a bit back into the racing community, I built two trails this summer, including the only trail in Flag with any North Shore style features that was a fun one to build since 90% of the building took place at night. I also volunteered at the anual Toys for Tots Ride to the Grand Canyon Bike Ride here in Flag, 70 miles of blah, glad I was volunteering that one and not racing it. All in all it was an alright year, do with I cound have downhilled but the mney was just not there. I'll be back in 2010 with a new bike, and honed skills. Watch out Cat 2 Men 19-25!

Well its that time a year again, winter, and my 2006 mountain bike season is over. It was a great first year. I placed high in all of my races, and i definatly am going up to sport next season. Thank you to my friends and family for your support this year. Thank you Sun Ringle, Utopia Optics, and T.H.E. for your support and i hope to race under your names next season.

Many of us racers were refering to this race as a multi-ecosystem race. we started at the bast of the mountain which was like a desert, dry and hot. Then we went up and hit the treed, cool, muddy, alpine section. Then we hit about 6 inches of snow. Fast descents in snow are SO FUN, just about every one wrecked, I was very surprised that I saved all of my slip-outs. It did get kinda scary once we started going over icy jagged rock gardens. But wow the hill climb and the cross country were so incredibly fun. I took 1st in cross country and 3rd in the hill climb.
