What inspires you to compete?

I have always been very competitive since I was a little girl, I was in everything you can think of growing up, it didn’t stop there I joined the ARMY right out of high school, that is where I believe my mental toughness, ability to focus, and competitive edge comes from. I LOVE what I do, it’s in my blood…

Why do you like this sport?

I love the multi-sport because it challenges me. It makes me focus and train in all three areas, not just to be consistent but to be GOOD in all 3 events. I love fellow triathletes, they have so much compassion and spirit, almost like an understanding or respect for each other, because we all know what we have to put in to get to the finish...

Describe your style...

Go hard or go home...is my SPRINT distance philosophy, there is very little margin for error, one mistake can cause you the race. On longer races, I look for consistency and endurance and if I still have it in the end, gear up!!!
