By no fault other than my own.... I missed my start to the Super D this past weekend.  I had been feeling good in practice, the Socom was doing what it was supposed to and it being my first back from injury... I was pumped.   But, I'm an idiot.  I was loligaggin' in the parking lot.... ended up getting on course 4 minutes after everyone else.   Had fun riding and was kinda happy I wasn't sucking dust the whole way down.... but later in the day I checked out the results.... I finished 3:20 off the winner.

Dammit,  I wanted that State Champions jersey.  Last time that'll happen.

I took a good spill at Crested Butte this weekend..... it looks like I'm going to be off my bike for a few weeks.

I'll manage to catch a few races at the end of the season and I'll be looking forward to representing my sponsors once again.   This is a really frustrating injury, but I've come to accept it as part of the sport.    My bikes were rolling super fast and I had been feeling good about this season, but I know there is always tomorrow.

-Cheers-

I am super stoked to have finished 2nd in the Mountain States Cup overall points race for Super D.  Getting on the podium for the overall was specifically one of my goals for the 2007 race year and I surpassed my expectations with a 2nd place finish.

2nd Overall = Super Stoked. (Don't mind the cast. Purely for show.)

I raced the Keystone Climax Super D in 2006 and was hooked.  The race format is something I have never really experienced and while the Keystone course is an exception (25 minutes!) I had a feeling that this was something I wanted to get into.  Unfortunately at the time I was on a borrowed bike as most my funds were tied up in the DH rig.   I managed to scramble up some $$ to get on a SD rig for 2007, but feel I could do a lot better on a legit All Mountain bike.    I smell a build this winter!!

2008 Super D Goals

1.  Another Series Points Podium

2.  More than one podium (I got 4th in snowmass this year)

3.  A first place finish
