What inspires you to compete?
My inspiration comes from my family. They are the driving force behind my success, and it really helps to push my mental concentration. Without the help of my family, I would not even be close to rider that I am today. They help me pick my goals, and choose my path wisely. They are also key in helping me stay in shape.
Why do you like this sport?
I like this sport because it keeps me in shape while I am in college, it is exciting, and the feeling of crossing the finish line after hours of sweat and determination is unmatchable.
Some Personal Information About Me:
I am 20 years old and I am currently attending Western Michigan University. My current class schedule gives me plenty of free time to practice and work out. In my spare time I hang out with my girlfriend, and friends. During the winter months I will be training on the stationary bicycle at about 120-160 miles a week. I also snowmobile and snowboard to stay in shape in the winter.
What are your goals:
My career goal is to become a successful Physician's Assistant with a focus in neurosurgery. My sports goal is to win championships in the MTB field, and possibly return to motocross to start where I left off.
How's Life Treating You?
I have been keeping pretty busy since this is my first year at a 4-year University and all. Getting my Associate's Degree was a breeze compared to this. It's a learning experience and I plan to get through it just fine. Other than that, I have been working at the hospital as a Patient Care Associate, and I can't complain. I have time to ride my mountain bike all the time with awesome trails only 5 minutes away. Life is smooth.
