Another great week of racing at Sea Otter has come and gone.  Weather and conditions were great, although a little warmer and drier than normal.  My wife convinced me to race Dual Slalom and I had a blast.  I raced Cat 1 40+ and qualified 16th.  Unfortunately I got eliminated after 2 runs, but I loved the course.

The Cat 1 DH 50+ class was 9 deep this year. I had a great run and finished 4!!!  Good times!!!

Another fun weekend of racing at Fontucky.  I ended up 5th in 4x and 2nd in DH.

Big props go out to Downhill Mike for putting on the Mob In Mojave '09 at Bootleg Canyon. We had a great weekend of DH racing!  I ended up 2nd in the Cat 1 Expert Men 50+ class.

Another race weekend has come and gone.......Lots of rain, cloudy skies and tacky dirt surrounded the 3rd race of the Winter Series.  I ended up racing 4x in the Beginner Men category this round and I had a blast.  It seems as though the other people in my class were closer to my ability than in the Sport class where are the young guns have been racing.  I had a good moto and was neck and neck in the straight-a-way but forgot to downshift and lost my advantage.  All in all it was good day of racing and I look forward to round #4.

'09 Shimano Winter Series #3

My wife and I attended the '09 Shimano Winter Series Race #1 where we both raced 4x and DH.  Saturday was my 1st 4x race and I quickly learned that the Open Sport 4x class is quite competitive!!!!  I had a blast and although I got eliminated in the 1st round, I had a blast.

Sunday we raced DH where I hammered out a 2nd place finish in Expert Men DH 51-59.  It was a great weekend of racing.

The SRC Winter Series has come to a close. I chased my competition for 5 races and missed race 6 due to a blown fork seal. I ended up coming in 2nd overall.
