Q&A - Competition

How did you get started?

I heard about it so I looked around on the internet until I found the District 36 website. First Race was the Quicksilver. It was the most miserable thing and one of the funnest thing I ever did. I was hooked from that point on.

What are you planning for next season?

To get first in the series for my class and to get as many advancment points as I can so I can move up to the B class. And to keep having fun.

What has been your biggest accomplishment?

2nd in my class for the series. And first place in my class at the 49er Enduro.

Q&A - Personal

What inspires you to compete?

My family is my biggest supporter . Everyone in my family rides, its the one thing we all have in common. When I get back from an enduro they want to know all the details. It's such a great feeling.

Why do you compete?

I love to ride and I love to compete. No mater what the competition or sport is. So why not compete in the sport I love the most?

Why do you like this sport?

Enduros are the only dirt bike race that starts with 5 or less riders (not 60) at the same time. There also held on the best terrain. It's kinda like trail riding with a purpose.

Do you train? What does your schedule look like?

I run 10 miles a day Monday through Friday along with other exercise. I also go out and find the hardest terrain I can find to ride as often as I can.

Some Personal Information About Me:

I’m a 38 year old father and husband. I grew up in a family with five sisters that didn’t have a lot of money. Then I joined the Marine Corps where I served In Desert Storm, So I didn’t start riding until a few years ago. Now it’s my passion.
