Overview

How I got started

I have always been athletic.  The first time I went skiing I was 4 years old.  Growing up, I played soccer and swam.  I then turned to racing triathlons because I was a swimmer and a runner, and it is very complementary to sculling.  Ironically, I decided to focus on cycling.  After losing my chance to go to the 2004 Olympics by 4 seconds, I moved out to Colorado.  Being in Colorado brought both my cycling and my skiing to the next level.  There is nothing like being able to train and race other people who are among the best in the world at what they do.

Goals for the Future

The big goal that brought me back to CT after Colorado is the 2008 Olympics in Beijing.  While I am ineligible for 2008, I have a great foundation to begin planning for 2012.

My current goals are to have a strong showing at the spring big mountain freeski comps, upgrade to racing semi-pro mountain bikes, and finish my upgrade to 1 on the road.
