My race season started about 2 months ago, and since then I have been pretty happy with my results. The first two races of my season (Massanutten and Diablo Domination #1) were just to get me warmed up and back into the racing zone. And my results showed it, but I was happy I got those pack of the pack finshes out of the way early in the season. My main goal for the season was to finsh top 25 in the Jr. Us open. I did much more than that, finshing with a 9th place, even with loosing my chain after the jbl rock garden. So I had to coast over half the race track, and i almost got off my bike and started running to get more speed haha. I was a very upset with loosing my chain, because I could have easily been in the top 5, but I guess stuff like that happens to everyone once in a while. After that I took my first weekend off, and just rode at my favorite bike park "7springs." After that it was to Wisp. I couldn't pedal very well, because of my sprained ankle, but I still manged to pull out a 1st place. After that I headed back home for the 3rd race of the Gravity East Series at 7Springs. I was stoked on that, becasue it was my home mountain, and I knew I could slay it. I ened up finshing last in my Jr. X catogorie, but I was happy to have just walked away without to many serious injurys. During my race run, I was going fast enough to win, but i hit a rock wrong in the bottom rock garden, and it put me right into a tree with my right shoulder. So with a disappointing finsh at 7springs, I figured I would come back and throw down a first place at snowshoe. And that is what I did. I think if i can just stay on my bike during the snowshoe races, i can hopefully win the series. Well I now have 2 weeks off to ride with friends and train, and then I am back to Diablo for the second domination race. Then im out to Colorado for the Jr. X nationals.
