Q&A - Competition
How did you get started?
Started before I was born. My family has always been involved in dirt track racing in some way. I personally started in karts.
List your competitive highlights:
Lawson Motorsports win at Lincoln Park speedway in 2008 with a house built motor that never should have been able to compete with what it was up against. Helping my dad to his first win in a kart.
What are you planning for next season?
Lots of racing and hope to network with more people in other forms of racing.
What has been your biggest accomplishment?
My two little girls and my marrage. I've been married for almost 16 years and waited 10 years to have our first little one. My biggest accomplishment is my family.
Q&A - Personal
What inspires you to compete?
The inspiration comes from a long Family tradition. I like the challenge of figuring out the car. I look at it as a high speed chess match that can be lost in the pits as easily as on the track.
What has been your most embarrassing moment?
Trying to show my Dad how to "stand on it" in a racing kart backed into the wall going about 50 miles an hour. She was fast the first 3 laps but that forth one was a little rough musta been the dew haha
Why do you like this sport?
Brings the family together and everyone can get involved in some way
What do you want to be when you grow up?
I'm 35 and hope I never have to grow up.
How's Life Treating You?
Life has its ups and downs. You have to learn to relax when you're up and be ready for the times it lets you down.
